Our upstream timber operation recognises the need to balance timber harvesting with the responsible management of forest resources by adhering to sustainable best practices.
The Group has obtained forest management certificates for six of its Forest Management Units (FMUs), as well as five Licence for Planted Forests, all under the Malaysian Timber Certification Council’s (MTCC) Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS); which is endorsed by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).
